What is recorded here

Located on the SE-facing slope of a drumlin and c. 15m SE of a farmhouse. It is depicted as a circular hachured feature described in gothic lettering as 'Doonarah' only on the 1911 edition of the OS 6-inch map. This is a circular platform (diam. 30.5m) defined by a scarp (H 1m). A hedge grows on the perimeter and the site is now used as an orchard, but there is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 23 September 2008

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
