What is recorded here

Indicated is a crannog on Drumlane Lough in County Cavan where burnt bone, an ox tooth and iron slag still mark the peaty shore. Davies recorded those fragments in 1946, suggesting people once heated, ate or made things beside the water. The lake keeps that activity hidden under reeds and darkness, waiting for rain or curiosity to reveal it again.

Davies (ITA Survey 1946) noted the discovery of fragments of burnt bone, an ox tooth, a piece of iron slag and possible traces of furnace-lining on the peaty shore of Drumlane Lough.
