Seamus Heaney, born in 1939 in Tamniaran and buried in Bellaghy, turned the muddy rhythms of County Derry into poems so clear they still cut. He walked from a small farm kitchen to the Nobel Prize, carrying dirt under his nails and story in his blood. His headstone tells you to walk on air against your better judgement, which is either a joke or an invitation.
