This black commemorative plaque records: BRUNTS BARN This Ranger Briefing Centre and Volunteers' Centre was dedicated in 1981 to the memory of Harry Brunt M.B.E., Dip T.P., F.R.T.P.I. who loved the Peak District and did much pioneering work for the National Park between 1951 and 1980 Recorded plaque organisation: Peak Park Joint Planning Board.
Harry Brunt, an influential figure in the conservation and management of the Peak District National Park from 1951 to 1980, is remembered for his significant contributions to the area's preservation and development.
