Tithe Barn

What is recorded here

Plas-yr-Escob is a Post Medieval tithe barn in Denbighshire, built to strip gold from local harvests before it reached Bishops Palace. The name suggests an esquire once lived beside the barn, taking his share while the church took its share. Two masters, one valley, no mercy in the math. The barn still stands because generosity was never the point.
