What is recorded here

Located on a NE-SW ridge and at the SW end of Carrick-on-Bannow village. Three granite penal-style crosses are built into the road bank at the S angle of a cross-roads. This cross (H 1.08m; Wth of arms 0.51m; T 0.15m), at the centre as viewed, has the incised letters ‘EC’ at the crux with 17(5?)? below. The head and stem expand above and below the crux. It is thought to have been moved from the graveyard of Carrick church site (WX045-036005-) c. 300m to the SW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 22 July, 2013
