No visible slab remains on the ridge above Sceilg Mhichil, though De Paor placed one near the crest in 1955. The mountain may have swallowed it, or memory may have sharpened a plain stone into a cross. Either way, the ridge keeps a shape that no longer answers back.

'De Paor (1955, 186) noted a slab (No. 32) standing close to the summit of the islands NE peak' (O'Sullivan and Sheehan 1996, 290, no. 948 (83)). The location of the slab was described by De Paor (1955, 186) as follows; 'Roughly cross-shaped slabs also occur beyond the confines of the enclosure; one near the crest of the ridge above the monastery'.
