In early 2018, a shell midden, consisting of a small lens of dark soil full of compacted shells, has become exposed on the NE facing shoreline. About 0.3m below ground level, the strip is 3.4m long, 0.5m thick with shells largely consisting of mussel shells with some cockle periwinkle shells also.
