Crannog in Portaliff OR Townparks is a water-based dwelling site in County Cavan, Ireland. It is the kind of place where people built rooms, hearths and roads to nowhere on wet ground, making a house out of resistance. The name gives no further shape, but the form is clear: a crannog is a room the lake agreed to hold.
