What is recorded here
Crannog in Dún Lúiche Íochtarach is a small artificial island in County Donegal, Ireland. The 1906 Ordnance Survey map named it Monk's Island, suggesting prayer, retreat or solitary work beside the water. That label still touches the place, even when no building remains.
Depicted as a small circular 'island' with the designaton 'Monk's Island' in Dunlewy Lough on the 1906 ed. of the OS 6-inch map.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
