Grave Yard holds Killonaghan medieval church on flat Clare ground, yet every visible inscription appears after 1890. The sea touches the world at the edge of memory, while the ridge holds the place like a hand over a mouth.

On flat ground c. 420m SE of the foreshore, with good views to the N. Overlooked and sheltered by a steep ridge c. 500m to the S. Indicated and named ‘Graveyard’ on the 1842 and 1915 eds. of the OS 6-inch maps. A roughly trapezoidal graveyard (L c. 80m; Wth at SSE c. 23m; Wth at NNW c. 50m) orientated NNW–SSE within which lies Killonaghan medieval church (CL004-015002-). None of the inscriptions date to earlier than 1890 and there are no medieval or early medieval slabs in evidence.
