This black commemorative plaque records: Portreath Tramroad Railway Bridge. Built in or around 1852, by the then West Cornwall Railway Company, to carry their extension to Truro over the Portreath Tramroad.
Portreath Tramroad Railway Bridge was constructed circa 1852 by the West Cornwall Railway Company to extend railway services to Truro, facilitating increased copper and tin ore transportation from Cornish mines.
