Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as a circular wooded feature (diam. c. 40m) on the 1928 ed. Situated at the summit of a broad hill, and described as a low mound and ditch that may have been a ring-barrow (Gannon 1972), it is not visible at ground level in reclaimed pasture.
