What is recorded here

Gallán is a standing stone in County Cork, Ireland. It stands one and a half metres tall on an east-facing slope, its rectangular body aligned from northeast to southwest. The stone has watched fields, weather and forgotten lives for centuries, steady while the world around it changed.

In tillage, on E-facing slope. Stone (H 1.5m; 1m x 0.55m) is subrectangular in plan, long axis NE-SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
