Structure in Comeraghmountain

On a S-facing slope in high mountainous terrain in Coumtay Glen, in the Comeragh Mountains. There is a small mountain stream c. 50m to the W which flows into the River Tay. An oval structure (dims. c. 7m E-W; c. 4m N-S) constructed on roughly coursed limestone rubble drystone walling, except the N wall which consists of a revetment, being built into the natural slope. The walling suggests a 18th/19th-century date for this structure. This structure was identified and reported by Helen Lawless.
