In level grassland. Well-preserved square mortared pier with a pyramidal top (L 2.46m, H 2m), set on a stone plinth. A field wall runs off to N and S. An inscription on a plaque on its N face commemorates Edmund Hopkins and family and is dated 1686. The inscription reads: GOD BE MERCIFULL UNTO THE SOUL OF EDMUND HOPKINS AND HIS FAMILY. HE DYED THE EIGHT OF JUNE ANNO DONI 1686. The monument was conserved in 2011. (Alcock et al. 1999, No. 3593)
