Standing stone in Cloonmung

Standing stone

What is recorded here

Cloonmung holds a standing stone in County Mayo, but human memory has not yet recorded why it stands or when it rose. The stone may have marked a boundary, honoured a dead person, or simply resisted the hand that first tried to move it. In that emptiness, Cloonmung becomes a room where imagination must build its own witness before leaving the stone unharmed.
