What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history has thinned to rumor. The soil may still hold the shape of hands that built it, though no name remains to credit them. Locals treat such places as living, not dead, which means the fort is not empty but occupied by time itself.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
