What is recorded here

Broken cross-slab at Clonmacnoise, recorded in the 1992 inventory as a large fragment twenty-four centimetres high, twenty-six wide and three thick. No cross survives on it, only the tops of two letters, E and R, still standing out of the stone. Whatever name or prayer it once carried has been cut away, leaving a small edge of identity behind.
