What is recorded here

The slab stands thirty centimetres tall in Clonmacnoise, bearing only the neat letters CH despite its cross-slab label. That sudden gap between expectation and evidence suggests a name lost to time rather than a failed design. A carpenter may have carved the first part of a prayer before the stone ran out, leaving behind a fragment that still points toward someone forgotten.
