Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00611 Dimensions: H 0.20, W 0.15, T 0.05 There are other indecipherable letters beneath the inscription. Inscription: Part of an inscription 'UID'. Evidence of discovery: Macalister 1898-1905. Condition: Fragment with part of an inscription.. The Clonmacnoise inventory was compiled by the Office of Public Works. Dated to the early Christian period (5th–9th century AD), the cross-slab likely served as a gravestone or memorial. The partial inscription "UID" may be part of a name or dedication, common in monastic or Christian contexts of the time.
