What is recorded here

Thirty centimetres of worn stone hold the last visible tops of OLMT, a name erased by rain and time. It lies among the grave slabs of Clonmacnoise, small enough to lift but heavy with forgotten life. Whoever is named there has returned to the earth, leaving only a fragment behind.

Date likely to the early medieval period, possibly 8th to 10th century, based on the style of the cross-slab and inscribed letters. The inscription may represent an early form of Christian dedication or a personal name, typical of monastic or memorial contexts in Clonmacnoise.
