Cross-slab in Clonmacnoise

Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00445 Dimensions: H 0.587, W 0.562, T 0.015 Triple outline expansional cross with median line and blank semicircular looped terminal. Inscription: 'OR D]O EO[UCHAIG MAGDARNAC' very worn but still legible. Evidence of discovery: Petrie 1822. Condition: Fractured fragment with stem/part of left terminal. Date likely to the 9th to 11th century AD, based on the style of the expansional cross and the presence of an ogham inscription. The inscription may record a dedication or ownership, possibly to a person named "Do Eochaig mac..." suggesting a funerary or commemorative function.
