Clonmacnoise grave-slab inventory (1992) number: CLN00436 Dimensions: H 0.22, W 0.215, T 0.045 Outline cross with median line and lozenge shaped arms and centre (?). The lozenge are composed of three lines with hollows in the centre. No inscription. Evidence of discovery: Davis 1984. Condition: Fragment with part of cross arm (?) and centre.. The Clonmacnoise inventory was compiled by the Office of Public Works. A copy of the record for this slab is available for inspection in the relevant Archaeological Survey of Ireland (SMR) file. Date likely to the early medieval period, possibly 8th to 10th century AD, given the cross-slabs found in the Clonmacnoise area are typically associated with monastic sites of that era.
