Clonmacnoise holds a tall stone cross where only ORDOS remains visible, suggesting a name or title erased by time. The central circle and pointed end pads stay blank, forcing imagination to fill the gaps. Rain, foottraffic and forgetting have sanded the edge until the cross becomes a presence rather than a picture.

The circular central expansion and semicircular (almost triangular as they have pointed bases) terminal expansions are blank. Inscription: Part of a vertical inscription 'ORDO…' survives, the rest has been obliterated. Evidence of discovery: OPW 1954-58 Condition: Complete but very worn.
