What is recorded here

Cross-slab CLN00063, documented in 1992 and lost since, bore a two-line rectangular frame with an outline cross and the name MAILETOLI along its left and top edges. It stood in Clonmacnoise, County Offaly, where grave markers clustered around a place already crowded with death and memory. The slab is gone now, but the drawing and inscription preserve the shape of the hand that cut it and the person named within the frame.

Early Christian period, likely 8th to 10th century. The inscription may be a personal name or dedication, and the cross suggests a funerary or commemorative function, typical of monastic sites like Clonmacnoise.
