Situated on a fairly steep W-facing slope overlooking an E-W stream c. 60m to the W and Clone church (WX015-023001-) that is c. 120m to the WSW. Archaeological testing (06E0287) produced archaeological features in many trenches including a spread of soil (L 4m) that contained burnt stone, charcoal, burnt bone and slag.
