Marianne and Ciaran walked the ridge at Cloghmacow, touching the earthen bank that still holds its shape after centuries. The fort is small enough to circle in minutes, yet large enough to swallow a person inside its shadow. They sat within the ring as dusk fell, listening for the faint music said to drift from such places. When they left, Marianne swore she heard a child laughing behind them, though the pasture stood empty.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Heavily overgrown circular area (24.5m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.65m). Interior raised on S side to compensate for hillslope; remains of cultivation ridges cross N quadrant on NW-SE axis.
