What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history has thinned to legend. The soil may still hold the shape of hands that built it, though no name survives to claim the work. Locals treat such places as occupied, not abandoned, leaving them alone because the boundary between worlds grows thin at old forts. What is missing from memory may be thicker beneath the grass.
