Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

Within the N half of a cashel (GA084-067----). This inaccessible Man-made underground passage (L >10m), which runs N-S, is indicated by a heavily overgrown linear depression (L c. 6m) and the almost completely blocked-up remains of a chamber (L c. 4m) at its N end. Three roof lintels protrude from the overlying sod cover. (Knox 1918, 104, 124; Cody 1989, 251, no. 77) Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 10 September 2019
