What is recorded here
In the SE quadrant of a bivallate rath (CO094-060001-). This Man-made underground passage was investigated by Windele in 1856 (0'Mahony 1908, 84-5). Several chambers were noted, all earth cut; in some the roofs were formed of flagstones. Among reported finds were bones, including some human. Evidence of the Man-made underground passage is found inside the ESE entrance to the ringfort, as two grass-covered mounds of excavated material with ground between noticeably collapsed.
