What is recorded here

Bullán is a bullaun stone outside the north wall of Ballindangan church in County Cork, a rounded block no larger than a kitchen table but carrying a hollow deep enough to submerge a child’s arm. It never appeared on the 1842 or 1905 maps, suggesting the stone belonged more to memory than official record. People may have touched its basin during fever, birth or grief, trusting water drawn from that dark hole to carry what prayers could not name.
