Castle Kilenly vanished from the barony of Leitrim after Redmund the B. sonne held it in 1574. It may still lie buried under Galway soil, waiting for a shovel or a storm to reveal the rooms where that name first echoed.
Nolan (1901, 111) records that the castle of 'Kilenly', the barony of Leitrim, was in the possession of 'Redmund the B. sonne' in 1574. Not located.
