Entrance gateway to Castle Ellen, erected c.1840, comprising spear-headed cast-iron gates supported on ornamental cast-iron gate posts, with matching spear-headed cast-iron railings on cut-stone plinth walls with cut-stone copings, flanked by cut limestone quadrant walls with tooled limestone copings, and having cut-stone columns with carved lion terminals. Cut-stone jostle stones in advance of gates proper.
