What is recorded here

Three large lintels still protrude through the earth southwest of the Carrowreaghmony ringfort, marking a blocked underground passage rather than an ordinary ditch or collapse. The chamber may have served the ringfort as a cellar, refuge or ceremonial hole, but soil and forgetting have closed its mouth. What remains is a stone threshold waiting for someone brave enough to listen through it.
