Indicated is a low stone ringfort on a Mayo ridge, its broad circular bank hiding a dark passage that still cuts through the grass. Cattle may have walked across the hidden chamber for centuries, unaware they were passing through the quiet heart of the fort. The visible stone edge and faint surface dips leave the deeper shape behind, suggesting the ridge still holds a room no one easily finds.

In pasture, located on top of a ridge. There is a stream 230m to SW. Slightly raised circular area (29m N-S; 30.7m E-W) defined by a low, sod-covered stone bank. A basal course of large stones and boulders can be seen on the external face at SE−SSW, and in parts at N. The interior is level. A Man-made underground passage (MA072-009002) is indicated in the W half on the 1930 OS 6-inch map; it is evident as a series of surface depressions extending through the interior. Two field walls cross the interior, intersecting in a T-shaped arrangement: one on a sinuous NE-SW line to E of centre, the other perpendicular to the latter, extending through the NW quadrant.
