Ougheval Church in Carricksallagh still holds the large stone sarcophagus built by Pole Cosby in the early eighteenth century. The Cosby family used it as their crypt, turning a private death into a public monument inside a working church. People may have walked past it for generations, wondering whether the stones remembered more than they revealed.
