Fairy fort in Carrickfad is a grass-covered stone ring on a steep hillside in County Leitrim, with a hidden underground passage in its north-west interior. The stones are low and blurred by grass, but the shape remains clear enough to walk around and imagine the lives that moved through it. The missing entrance and buried passage suggest the place was built to be entered, changed and remembered rather than simply seen.

Located on the E-facing slope of a steep-sided hillock. Grass-covered polygonal area (dims 34m N-S; 30.5m E-W) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 2.2m; H 0.35m). There is no identifiable original entrance. Man-made underground passage (LE010-012002-) is in the NW interior.
