What is recorded here

Small island in Derreskit Lough, c. 70m from the shoreline. From the shore it appears as a low, roughly circular mound (int. diam. c. 14m) densely overgrown with trees and bushes. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
