Hut site in Canburrin

In a coniferous wood, in a bog on the lower N-facing slopes of Beenduff. The remains of an oval hut site (3.2m E-W; 2.4m N-S) defined by the roughly constructed lower courses of a drystone wall (T 0.7m; H 0.7m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog. A break (Wth 0.4m) at NW may indicate an entrance. A small annexe (1.2m N-S; 1m E-W; H 0.65m), which is roofed with stone slabs, abuts the hut site externally at W. The level interior is obscured by rubble. The wall of an enclosure (KE080-070006-) abuts the hut site at SE. Another hut site (KE080-070002-) is c. 25m to the WSW.
