Standing stone in Callow

Standing stone

What is recorded here

Callow holds one standing stone, but no human story has emerged to give it life. The stone may mark a border, a burial, a meeting place or an abandoned prayer. It still stands while human memory fades, waiting for someone to watch it long enough to hear what it repeated.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
