On the summit ridge of Tallaght Hill, a wounded cairn still marks the junction of three townlands, its eighteen metre circle cut by a drainage channel and a forest road. People took stones for walls, built a shooting hide on top, and paved through its base, yet the boundary role remains unchanged. Approach from the northeast to see what survives beneath the grass and tree cover.

Wakeman (1892, 103) described a cairn which lay N of a lane that led to Killiney Church (DU026-013001-). It had been considered a 'sacred' monument by the local community. This cairn has since been removed. Compiled by: Geraldine Stout and Padraig Clancy. Revised upload on: 21 April 2018.
