Ballymaglancy Cave is a 726-metre limestone passage west of Cong where lesser horseshoe bats still fly through darkness that has never been fitted for tourists. The Clancy or Glancy family gave the place its Irish name, and water has cut the rock into a narrow living chamber rather than a display hall. People may have watched the bats or avoided disturbing them, but the cave keeps its own schedule: dripping, echoing, and holding small wings in the black.
