Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

In pasture, on break in S-facing slope. Circular area (28.2m N-S; 27.2m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.7m), stone faced in parts. Break in bank to E (Wth 2.5m). Approached by concrete steps from modern bungalow. Modern shed abuts site to N. Two wooden sheds erected in interior. Partially overgrown. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
