In wet pasture, adjacent to a stream in a valley bottom. One of several fulachtaí fia and burnt mounds which occur over a distance of 1.5km along the base of this flat-bottomed valley aligned NNE-SSW. The mound appears as a slightly raised area (diam. c. 6m) of firm ground surrounded by soft, boggy ground. It is composed of angular stones in black soil. A relict stream channel stream separates this from a possible fulacht fia (SL019-242----) located c. 4m to SW. The two mounds may be part of the one site. There is a fulacht fia (SL019-238) c. 20m to N, and a burnt mound (SL019-240----) is c. 30m to W.
