No visible surface trace survives at the high water mark near the north end of Cladach an tSiúite, yet skeletons were reported uncovered there from time to time. The field of the contentions keeps its dead beneath the tide, waiting for the sea to pull back and reveal what the land forgot.

At HWM close to N end of Cladach an tSiúite, 'the field of the contentions' (pers. comm. T. Robinson), on N shore of Inis Meáin. In 1933, Mac Domhnaill (Topgr. Files, NMI) described this as 'Site of ancient battle, skeletons reported uncovered here from time to time'. No visible surface trace survives.
