What is recorded here

Situated on a gentle N-facing slope with E-W ridge to the N and SE. The site is approximately rectangular (dims. 60m E-W; 40m N-S) and is contained within a stone wall, possibly modern. While there are no pre-18th-century gravestones obviously visible, the graveyard contains fragments of a medieval cross (WI015-035003-). A crouched inhumation (WI015-035001-) came to light at the E edge of the graveyard during road widening. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Updated by: Gearoid Conroy Date of update: 15 November 2022
