What is recorded here

RATH in Buggan, County Fermanagh, is an early Christian rath: a small fortified place where people lived, worshipped or kept what they valued before the landscape changed around it. The name still points to a made boundary in the field, not a natural rise. Whatever moved inside that circle has gone quiet, but the circle remains the clearest fact.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
