What is recorded here

Gateway, extant 1909, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of rendered chamfered piers on "bas-relief" plinths having ball finial-topped capping supporting quatrefoil-detailed cast-iron double gates. Now disused. Road fronted on a corner site at entrance to grounds of Glendruid.
A gateway forming part of a neat self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 60260216) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at the entrance on to the grounds of the Glendruid estate.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
