What is recorded here
Grave Yard in County Mayo, Ireland is a children's burial ground, a rare and brutal reminder that adulthood did not guarantee survival. The site still belongs to the county, yet the public record remains empty, forcing wonder to fill the gap left by silence. Perhaps parents walked past it daily, naming no child but carrying each loss like a stone in their chest.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
